About us

Why choose MA Training

MA Training was originally created in response to the varying standards and limited opportunities available for Practice Nurses and HCA’s to expand their competency levels. Since then we recognise that the Primary Health Care Team has expanded greatly and we have now increased our training to include Paramedics, Pharmacists, Social Workers, Health Visitors, and GP’s.

What we do

We are proud to deliver unique courses that we have designed and developed to meet the real needs of the Health Professional to enable them to provide quality care for their patients. Unlike many other providers, we view ourselves as partners with our delegates as we are practicing Advanced Nurse Practitioners which gives us an understanding of the training needs in primary care. Our aim is to motivate and encourage our clients to achieve their professional educational goals. With this as our ethos, we are a nationally recognised company that provides high quality packages and bespoke courses and events.

Meet The Team

Annette Bradley Advanced Nurse Practitioner, NMC Tutor

Annette would love to teach and practise in a world filled with happy Healthcare Professionals, satisfied patients and staff that bring an abundance of homemade cakes and tea. However, she is also a realist!
As a Nurse and Senior Lecturer with more than 40 years of experience, she has worked in General Practice, Urgent Care, Health Authorities, and the University of Wolverhampton. Now still in General Practice and Director of her own successful Healthcare Training Company.
When she’s not writing or creating courses for Healthcare Professionals, she likes to think she is quite fit. She very often burns up 1000 calories, twice recently she has had a fire in her kitchen caused by her forgetting about the fish fingers and bacon under the grill!
Her first book titled “Practice Nursing – The Fulcrum of Primary Care” – Mark Allen Publishing. Her last book will probably be entitled “That’s All Folks!”
Her past achievements include collecting hundreds of sputum pots from patients on the ward, trying to interpret the rate of an IV by numbers on a tongue depressor and pulling a stool away seconds before a prestigious consultant sat down on it!
Her final piece of advice is – do not judge a situation unless you have been in it yourself… And believe her when she says you name it I have been in it.

Sami.jo Bradley - Senior Operations Manager

We chose Sami to work with us because she shared the vision of wanting to make a difference to health care professionals and patients. Largely because she herself has experienced healthcare that could have been delivered in a more effective way as well as having friends who had experienced fragmented care.

Sami is just so adaptable and is the I.T right arm of the company. She really cares about the quality of the service we provide and is always eager to help our clinicians and commissioners.

Dr Priscilla Norgren

We met Priscilla on an NLP Master Practitioner course and she was an obvious choice to join our team. She too shares our legacy of wanting to make a difference to patients and clinicians alike.

She also shares our passion for providing realistic and appropriate training and teaching using motivational skills the tools to help clinicians really make a difference as well as practising safely.

She brings skills such as women’s health, sexual health, and contraception as well as paediatrics. Working as a GP also means she is aware of what happens in the real world.

Dr Rohit Sharma

Dr Sharma was chosen for his wit, charm and of course the lovely suit. He has many skills and experience especially around muscular skeletal conditions to add to our team and was very practical and knowledgeable about the world of Primary Care.

Annette has worked with Rohit in an urgent care and out of hours setting and was impressed by his consultations with patients and consideration for clinicians.

Jo Creed – Co-Founder Aligned Care Programme

I (Annette) met Jo several years ago at a Beyond Training NLP event. I was sold on NLP and after realising that Jo and I shared a passion for helping those working within health and social care to get their ‘mojo’ back the Aligned Care Programme was born.

I feel honoured to work with such an influential lady who shares the beliefs and values common to MA.

Simon Creed – Zoom Support/Tech

Well, what can we say – You may see Simon occasionally as a support for our Zoom sessions when Sami is skiving!  He is such a patient man(he has to be with me!) with expertise and knowledge regarding the Aligned Care Programme and MA. He is far from a stereotypical computer geek- he provides heart and soul to our training platform and cares about giving everyone a good experience.

Lynn Smith – Admin Support

Lynn chose us and we were happy to welcome her to our team as she has a wealth of experience within various NHS settings including GP practice and Mental Health Services. She has 2 daughters one of which is a District nurse – she is passionate that nurses like her daughter should receive support and appreciation and that patients should have the care they deserve.

Vicky Stone – Marketing Manager

Vicky is a valuable part of our team with her expertise for marketing and her ability to adapt to the needs of MA. She was chosen because she is always eager to work alongside the rest of our team to provide help and support in contacting clinicians to let them know about courses that may make a difference to them and their patients. She is a caring and professional person who has empathy and respect for Health Care Workers.

Stuart Hale – I.T. Consultant

Stuart was recommended by Vicky, and we have not been disappointed. His excellent knowledge of our computer system and his past experiences allows him to communicate with I.T systems and Human Beings! If there are any problems for commissioners or clinicians regarding payment or web site issues Stuart responds quickly to resolve it and therefore reduces stress for us technophobes!

Jane Groucutt – Friend of MA

Jane helps us out in many ways. You may have seen her dressed in holiday gear for our Travel Health Course, suffering with Crohn’s Disease in our DMARDS film.

The amazing thing about Jane is she helps voluntarily because she is so passionate and caring about MA Training and its ethics. She does get the odd box of chocolates.
